Spent the better part of saturday searching the GA country side for walnut and pecan trees for tonewood .... Not much luck but did get a few leads for next weekend. I might need to get a closer look, but I cover so much more ground this way..

Hmmm i think I see one, but how do I cut it from here???

still not close enough!! oh, well

James, then try paragliding

heres a quote, it just happens to be on my shirt right now, its from Leonardo de Vinci..
" When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will ALWAYS long to return".

He was a very smart man, as we all know, free flight is an amazing thing, a feeling like I have never experienced in anything else.. It has been 3 years now, and I am still as crazy over the sport as the day my feet first left the ground... Nevermind "fly like an eagle",, I fly with them...truthfully.

The worst kind of flight i took was in one of those yellow airplanes with black stripes all around, BlueBird IIRC, a bizarre bird that had a sign reading: This airplane stops at cross roads! An airplane that had a clutch, ya knoww

The worst part was when the pilot was downshifting, we would experience a 500' drop!

Hey Mike, make sure to bring your botillia di vino if you ever fly across to where i live bud!

Cheers

BillyT,,, one nice thing about a paraglider compared to a hangglider is that I can roll it up and put in a large back pack. I have taken a few trips with it and when walking through the airports I always get asked at least once what I have in there... I have told people that its a parachute and I always bring my own,, just in case,,,    .

they always laugh,,but then when they see I am not the get a much different look

Serge i don't know about the botillia di vino, would a six pack of homemade stout be ok instead..
Mike

I'd love to someday! For now I'll have to stick with a monthly drive to the
coast to surf.
